THE FOUNDERS

Two people, one creative partnership.

Freda Recording is led by producer Nick and creative director Meredith Bullock, who built the studio around a simple idea: the record and the story around it should be handled by one accountable team.

CO-FOUNDER + PRODUCER

Nick Bullock

Nick has spent more than a decade producing in Nashville, developing his craft at The Doghouse Studio alongside his mentor, five-time Grammy winner Neal Cappellino. His approach is straightforward: great production extends the story already present in the song, shaping a sonic landscape around its voice, lyric, and natural momentum to create a recording that feels cohesive and alive.

  • 1,500+ live performances before and alongside his studio work, shaping a performer’s instinct for the moments that make a take connect

  • Production centered on distinctive, powerful voices

  • Orchestral string arranging, with an expanding body of work in film and television scoring

  • Production and mixing credits across film, television, and commercial placements

SELECT STUDIO MUSICIANS

We wouldn’t be able to make incredible records and offer an exceptional experience without the help of the world’s most talented musicians. They have played with Sara Bariellis, Charlie Hunter, Kelsey Waldon, Andrew Combs, Caitlin Rose, Erin Rae, The Fray, Travis Tritt, Kid Rock, Jared James Nichols, Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, Victor Kraus, Oliver Wood, Penny and Sparrow and more.

CO-FOUNDER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Meredith C. Bullock

Meredith leads artist development, visual branding, and creative direction for select Freda Recording projects, making sure the finished record arrives with a rollout plan already in place.

  • Brand messaging and positioning built for artists, managers, and labels alike.

  • Social content planning and video strategy for release rollouts.

  • Design and hospitality direction behind the studio's countryside retreat experience.

  • Works session by session as Nick's creative counterpart, not a separate vendor.

A LEGACY OF HOSPITALITY

About Freda

“My grandmother Freda, mother of 6 girls, restaurant owner, maker of incredible chicken wings, and with a laugh that filled the room, was known for her hospitality. Sharing her gift of making people feel loved and special was one of the ways she brought her light into the world. Carrying that mantel of hospitality forward is one of the most important values to us. We believe that making people feel loved and special helps them do their best work and their best art.”
